Dr Dan Bloomfield
Project Manager

Dan is responsible for the strategic management of the project, and for ensuring that its various targets and financial obligations are met. He coordinates the work between the different partners, and is the key contact for external partners and researchers.
Dan has a PhD in linguistics and policy networks, an MSc in environmental sustainability, and MA in psychotherapy and a BSc in ecology. He has professional backgrounds in economic project development, urban policy, landscape designation and nature-based interventions for health.
Meryl Elstone
Tevi Administrator
Cornwall Development Company
Meryl leads on managing the administrative functions relating to the Tevi fund. Meryl is the initial point of contact to respond to enquiries from businesses, and works alongside and supports the Business Engagement Officer.
Meryl has a background in Project Management across IT, Defence and the Public Sector.
Amanda Goodwin
Impact Partnership Development Manager
University of Exeter
Amanda is responsible for the Tevi Environmental Challenge Networks, as well as enabling organisations to adopt or improve their environmental growth and resource efficiency approaches through Tevi business assists.
Amanda’s background lies in managing, reporting and communicating environmental and social impact programmes for large corporates, including Virgin Media, Asda, and O2, both in consultancy and in-house roles. Amanda also holds an MSc in Environmental Management for Business.
Dr Stephen Lowe
Industrial Impact Fellow
University of Exeter
Stephen is responsible for the development of a natural capital resource hub to monitor the status of the natural environment of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and the measurement of environmental growth across the county. This aspect of Tevi will help businesses and the public to engage with the natural environment and natural capital resources.
In 2017 Stephen gained an EngD from the University of Reading, working with the British Geological Survey, focusing on the development of new methods in geochemistry to improve public health and sustainability in the urban environment. Stephen is interested in sustainable development, environmental protection, governance for environmental growth, and the role of environmental science in the delivery of environmental growth strategies.
Claire Maye
Team Administrator
University of Exeter
Claire is responsible for the overall administration of Tevi and to ensure compliance with ERDF funding requirements, including eligibility and reporting.
Claire’s has been working in European funding in Cornwall for 12 years and is highly experience in ERDF, ESF and Interreg funding streams. Her background is in Business Administration and she has worked on several major EU funded projects across Cornwall.
Catherine Pinney
Business Advisor
Cornwall Wildlife Trust
Catherine is the main point of contact at the Cornwall Wildlife Trust for the Tevi project. She works with local businesses to support and advise on all aspects of the project, with a focus on habitat enhancement and the creation of new spaces for wildlife.
Highly experienced in managing environmental issues within development projects, Catherine has previously worked on UK and international projects, delivering solutions for environmental growth. She is a both a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Environmentalist.
Benedict Rowswell
Impact & Partnership Development Manager

Ben provides communication support to the Tevi team and Cornish SMEs through business engagement activity; with a focus on demonstrating the impact of transitioning to more sustainable ways of working.
Ben is an environmental scientist with experience of managing projects in remote areas of the world including Borneo & Chile. Ben gained an MSc in Management from Coventry University and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Dr Dave Rymer

Dave works alongside and supports wider staff with a specific focus on SME and business engagement, through supporting and leading in the delivery of project outputs whilst ensuring compliance, eligibility and reporting requirements are met.
Dave has a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology, an MSc in wildlife management and conservation, and a BSc in zoology. His professional background is in scientific analysis and consulting for various environment-focused SMEs.
