Tree tubes and tree planting – products and techniques
February 18 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Aim of the day:
In this third meeting of our Tevi Challenge Network on the topic of increasing tree cover in Cornwall, we’ll explore the local business opportunities presented by the Forest for Cornwall: a flagship programme to increase local canopy cover by 2% in the next 10 years, agreed recently by Cornwall Council in the Climate Action Plan.
During the first two meetings of this Tevi Challenge Network the business opportunities for creating local tree guards and tree nurseries were explored, as well as re-thinking planting practices. These three topics will be explored in more detail during this workshop.
Who is this event for:
Landowners, landscapers, arborists, environmental consultants, gardeners, nursery owners, sustainable product designers and material experts.
Plan for the day:
The exact agenda for the day is in progress and will be shared asap. As a rough guide, the day will include presentations by product designers and woodland managers plus group discussions.
Tevi is a 3 year EU funded partnership programme between the University of Exeter, Cornwall Council, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the Cornwall Development Company. We use circular economy and environmental growth strategies to help small and medium sized enterprises improve their processes, save money and benefit Cornwall’s natural environment.
