Sustainability planning for creatives – writing an Environmental Statement

November 9, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Writing Environmental and Gender & Equality statements for your business

NOTE: This is the second in a set of two similar sessions. The first workshop took place on 15 October 2020.

Hosted by Tevi in collaboration with Cultivator’s Climate and Sustainability Hive (CLASH), this session will show how creative and cultural enterprises can develop and put to use meaningful Environmental and Gender & Equality statements.

An interactive Q&A session will be moderated by Tevi. If you have specific questions for our speakers, please email them to [email protected]

Background

Apart from being a requirement within most grant application processes, company-specific Environmental and Gender & Equality statements are essential tools for every business wanting to tackle the climate emergency and contribute to the circular economy.

Through developing your sustainability goals, understanding how to measure them and identifying the milestones for success, you are increasing your ability to achieve positive change. Creative businesses have sector-specific challenges to achieving sustainability and can benefit hugely from peer-learning and tailored advice.

This event will provide expertise and a support network to help your creative business start or improve on your sustainability planning. The first half of the session will focus on why sustainability planning is important, drawing on expertise from consultants working in our rural context and inspiration from Cornish creative businesses who are already reaping the rewards of a solid foundation plan. After a short break the second half will guide participants through Tevi’s sustainability and gender & equality planning templates with time for questions and answers.
