Imerys Minerals Ltd (IML) is a subsidiary of Imerys, the world’s leading supplier of industrial minerals. Located in mid-Cornwall, IML supplies kaolin, calcined clays and surface treated clays to a wide variety of customers. Our principle markets are paper and board; ceramics; paints and coatings; rubber; adhesives, caulks and sealants; personal care and construction. With an outstanding knowledge of our materials we work closely with our customers to identify new applications, reduce process costs and bring added value solutions to their end products.

One of Imerys’ technology centres (ITCs) is located in St. Austell and provides quality, analytical and applications expertise supporting both our customers’ day to day technical needs and long-term developments. With over 100 scientists and technicians, our work ensures the continued use and evolution of mineral applications, not only for kaolin, but the whole palette of industrial minerals at our disposal.
