Beaver Walk

May 8 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Join Tevi for a guided walk around the fantastic Cornwall Beaver Project with farmer Chris Jones and Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

Take a walk around this unique reserve to see what the beavers have been building, including their dams and the first lodge in Cornwall in over 400 years! Join Tevi and farmer Chris Jones for a guided walk around the reserve and then relax in this tranquil place at dusk to (hopefully!) see and hear the beavers in action.

During the 2 to 3 hour visit, you’ll see how busy the beavers have been and learn about their fantastic way of life as ecosystem engineers! The walks will take place at dusk to ensure that you get the best opportunity to see the beavers. The animals are becoming more secretive so a sighting isn’t guaranteed.

There is no charge to attend. Tevi is paying all event costs, contributing towards the running of this project.

We hope you enjoy the Cornwall Beaver Project!

Access information

We apologise the site is not wheelchair friendly. Be prepared for a short but steep walk, access to the reserve involves walking down muddy slippery farm tracks. The pace of the walk is generally slow and the distance walked is about 1km. If you are less-abled we could arrange a lift down to the flat (but boggy) beaver site so please contact us in advance of the walk date.

Safety

The site is in its natural state and so we ask you to be cautious of: low branches, logs and brambles on the ground, and uneven ground.

Please don’t pick any foliage – there is Hemlock on the site.

The site is surrounded by an electric fence, so please wait to be escorted on to the site.

Please ensure that your mobile phones are switched off or on silent mode during the walk.

If you bring a camera please respect our no flash photography rule with regard to the beavers.
